It, and Baltimore are in the running to become the next Detroit. It amazes me that Shitcago somehow manages to persist as a viable city where people choose to live and work at this late stage. I guess the endless suburbs of Cook and Dupage counties is largely responsible for making that possible. But those are both tax hellholes where the cost of living is already untenable, and yet scores of people willingly remain there. Not that I want them moving en masse to a red state, where they will just ruin another locale.
