There are several reasons I live on some acres out in the country… this is one of them. If you’re still suburban, flee. Take a smaller house on bigger land way the hell out there, you won’t regret it. The storm isn’t coming, its here, you need a harbor NOW.

Yes to all you said. Moved far away from suburbia years ago and never regretted it. Ok, takes a bit longer to get to a grocery store but we have farmers and farm markets we frequent; always try to shop locally first. And grow food in a garden; can, freeze dry and freeze.
Once the “blue zoo animals” from the picture have pillaged and destroyed the cities, it’s on to the suburbs with heavily armed gangs. It will be ugly, very ugly, but I believe it is coming and many Americans just don’t think it will happen in these “United States”. Said this before, arm up. Practice, practice practice. Discuss with neighbors.
Prepare to defend all that you love and care about. BTW, law enforcement will be overwhelmed so they aren’t going to be there for you.

Yep, read Selco’s stuff, that cured me! Yugoslavia was a modern European city, not some 3rd world shithole, but in the span of 6 months after NATO started bombing…

Read Ferfals stuff also because being out in the boonies without Tribe you are easier pickings than the suburban folks…

I agree and Iam remote how ever my nearest neighbor has allready told me to my face that when it goes down he is planning to take a very nice home not far from me and that he plans to take what he needs. I told him that was not a safe move and his responce was alarming.

Important to know who is in your AO. If this guy has already admitted his plan to take what’s not his, he’d be on my target list … at the top. If things devolve to the point that he’s ready to employ his threat, I’d hit him first. Remember, if it’s a jungle, there’s a law of the jungle.

Or make him move out of the area before it gets bad that way he is not a threat… Once it goes hot shooting is a two way street and he already knows that you are a threat to him because you voiced disapproval…

it will be very bad in the “burbs” after the cities burn. anything within walking distance will go next to the mob or the golden horde.
finding people in your area is great, but can you defend it ?
I am about 26 miles away from the nearest large city and UP Hill.
that part is important as most people are lazy and hate to walk uphill.
roads , rail lines and power lines are all easy to travel. and they must be guarded at all times after the “fall”. long range shooting will be the standard of the times. never ever let them come close to you and yours
better to leave now and not get caught in the madness of when it falls apart.
