I met with Thom Tillis when he was speaker of the House in North Carolina. He met with three of us in his office to explain how successful he was and how the Republican Party was more important than the people of the state. After we left, I was asked about my impression of him. I said he was refreshing: a politician who didn’t lie concerning his priorities. Arrogance has no boundaries and we continue to suffer fools who supposedly represent us.

Sadly our own POTUS exhibits the same characteristics and mindset. I never thought I’d think this way but it’s more than obvious now and my trust has been eroded beyond repair. I don’t trust anyone completely but with Trump I did have hope.
Your Trump ‘did have’ seems to be severely fractured. Trump is no longer the Trump we all thought he was.
Tom was always an open border advocate and not liked by many of his contemporaries when in our state senate. Few in his party wanted his election campaign signs but he was the sorry alternative to a crazy demonrat. Welcome to the Uniparty!
