Beirut

From Grok;

On May 6, 2026 (today), Israel carried out a strike on a building in Haret Hreik, a densely populated neighborhood in Beirut’s southern suburbs (Dahieh). This was the first Israeli strike on Beirut proper since the US-brokered ceasefire took effect on April 16–17, 2026 (initially for 10 days and later extended).

Israeli perspective (confirmed by officials):Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz publicly approved and claimed responsibility. They stated the target was Malek Ballout (also spelled Balut/Ballout), a commander in Hezbollah’s Radwan Force, along with other militants in the building. Israel alleges he directed attacks on Israeli communities and soldiers, violating the ceasefire. Some reports indicate coordination with the US and possible naval launch (three missiles from a warship).

    Perhaps Iran should launch another salvo of missiles directly into a densely populated section of Tel Aviv–huh? When is this outright killing by Israel going to stop? Of course you will not see this footage on Hannity this evening–nor any other outlet on Fox news… as they are in the bag (literally) for Israel. What gets me is that these pilots in the IDF will literally do anything they are ordered to do, such as you see in the video. And we are subsidizing these animals with our confiscated tax dollars on top of it all. And you wonder why all of the countries surrounding Israel hate them intensely–including the Christian Arabs (of which there are many BTW). But the technology gap between Israel and its surrounding neighbors is narrowing very fast as seen by Iran’s missile barrages. Seems like Israel is attempting to put a boot on the faces of all of their surrounding perceived enemies before this gap is closed.
