It wouldn’t be a good idea to invade Iran under any circumstances. But doing so when both Russia and China are sending warning signs about the idea would be criminally insane:
There is now confirmed presence of a Russian nuclear submarine near the Strait of Hormuz. There is also a Confirmed Announcement by Chechen Forces they will enter Iran to fight US if Invasion takes place. REPORT (unconfirmed) China to move 100,000 troops into Iran if US invades.
Moscow has officially deployed six submarines, including two nuclear ones, near the Strait of Hormuz for a discreet mission to protect Iranian infrastructure, according to reports. Their primary role is to prevent the United States and Israel from freely entering the strait or approaching the Iranian coast.
This deployment sends a strong political message to the West, signaling that any major escalation against Iran could directly involve Russia. The presence of two nuclear-armed subs also seems to indicate that if Iran is hit with nuclear weapons, another nearby country that attacks will also be nuked.
Yesterday, Chechen Troops were publicly assembled and at that assembly it was announced they would go to Iran to fight the United States and Israel if Iran is invaded.
No doubt the Christian Zionist eschatologists are tremendously excited today about prospects of the King of the North and the King of the South being miraculously wiped out on the plain of Megiddo. Although I would point out that the loss of a single light-infantry division would hardly cripple Russia, and there is no way the Chinese are going to transport 100,000 troops to the Middle East any more than the US military is.
That being said, a single division of battle-hardened Chechens would probably be sufficient to defeat the IDF, which reportedly took several hundred casualties in a major ambush yesterday morning. The report, which is still unconfirmed, actually claimed that 300 Israeli soldiers were killed after a large convoy moving north in southern Lebanon was ambushed by Hezbollah in a pre-prepared killzone.
The numbers are almost certainly exaggerated, as the media can’t seem to grasp the difference between “casualties” and “fatalities,” and nothing can be trusted coming out of Israel from either side due to the strict military censorship there. It’s doubtful that even those living in Israel would know anything about it yet.

Russia, Chechens and all, are still fighting in Ukraine after 4 years. I’m not sure how many conflicts they want to add to that, things being as they are. Unless Putin uses his excellent submarine force to sink a few carriers and level Israel, it would just bog them down all the more, but that would bring complications of its own, and also bog things down much more.
As for Chechens fighting the Israelis, the Israelis said they will not have boots on the ground in Iran (except perhaps the occasional ejected aviator), and I believe them because they do not have the manpower and resources; they are sucking wind right now with what they have on their plate. Will the Chechens go to fight them in Lebanon or Syria, or perhaps Israel proper? Troops there mean less troops in Ukraine. We are not exactly winning friends and influencing people by our deeds and words of late. What a hornets nest. Too bad there is no backspace button for time.
The Laith Marouf interview on Nima’s show today is very interesting. He made some assertions about large scale IDF casualties in Lebanon as well as a few other tidbits.
– IRGC commander insinuated that they were the ones who hit the FORD and one only needs to look at the Yemeni Mountains to know how it was done. (Col MacGregor’s son is frmr USN officer and is also quoted as saying the FORD was battle damaged and not a laundry fire on a different Nima episode).
-Marouf also said the Gulf regimes and very fragile, as are all the artificial borders in the area that were drawn up after WW1. He said any land attack on Iran will be the go signal for regional resistance fighters to disregard those borders in their operations and invade Syria, Jordon, etc to get at Israel. The Chechens might be very useful in Syria.
Russia of course has always been very cautious in recent years, but they are positioned to act if the situation develops in a way that allows them to check any Israeli or American escalatory moves with little rick to themselves.
Interesting indeed. We are former Naval Aviators here, and honestly we are shocked that carriers are still being used, as they are such juicy targets.
And you are right, Muslims believe they get extra brownie points, or maybe black eyed virgins in heaven for eliminating Jews, so it wouldn’t surprise if Chechens did show up on Israel’s border. Muslims from all over the world showed for the Yom Kippur war from what I read; it is usually a dog pile of Muslims (pun intended) on Israel if war is declared on it, especially if Israel looks weak.
No, I didn’t sleep through geography or current events classes but I may as well had. Like the border between America and Canada that runs through the Great Lakes, I’m guessing that the bordering countries of Kuwait, Bahrain, Quatar, UAE and Oman, along with Iran, claim some ownership of the Persian Gulf. Or like a playground, the biggest and baddest bully just take ownership because he can.

Cut your losses, POTUS. And while you are at it, turn your frustrated rage on Europa and NATO. Bring ALL of our .mil people and assets home. Let those Karens and Beta Males negotiate with Vlad. We have enough taking place right here in the FSSA to worry about.
