In 2020 I travelled to an agricultural town for a year in central valley CA. Basically 2 hours from any major city, SF, LA, Sacramento. I was shocked at the homeless camps up and down Hwy 99. Sad part, there were plenty of jobs in the area, especially the plant I worked with.
The most surprising scene, one night I looked out my hotel window, the view was the backside of a strip shopping center. There was a homeless guy sleeping in the alley reading his I Pad. I kept thinking where does he find the electricity to keep the I Pad charged up?
Gavin Newsom did not destroy California. I was born in LA (1947), grew up in the SF Valley, and after college and the Army, settled in OC. California started its descent into Hell when the Socialist-Abortion-Wetback Party took over state politics. This started with the Pat/Jerry Brown dynasty in the late 1950’s.
Their party coffers were filled with (((Leftist Hollywood))) money and the union-busting traitors of the Dead Elephant Party who wanted all of that cheap, exploitive labor from south of the border. At the time, there was plenty of money to go around, courtesy of people like me and my family and friends. We were getting taxed out of our homes until Prop 13 so the fiends in Sacto had to come up with other confiscatory scams.
That what has destroyed California. Gavin Newsom is just the cherry on top of the whipped cream, topping a huge dogs**t sundae. The exodus of businesses and working taxpayers speaks for itself. The State of my birth and formative years is, with the exception of a few northern counties, unlivable. Sad and pathetic.
