  1. If it CURES something or does NOT generate on-going profits/revenue, it is KILLED!!! Other than this, have you EVER heard of it before…or do you think you ever will AGAIN???

    1. More importantly, this may not even be a cure. There is – to my knowledge – little actual understanding of how amyloid plaques are related to the issue of Alzheimer’s; which is to say that even though medical research has focused on eliminating them, it hasn’t been established with 100% certainty that they are the underlying “cause” of the disease, rather than a symptom of it.

Therefore, It’s possible these plaques may occur incidentally alongside Alzheimer’s, and thus eliminating them may not necessarily stem the progression not the disease in any meaningful way. It is my (admittedly non-expert) opinion that this attention focused on eliminating plaques in the brain will ultimately turn out to be more “pissing in the wind” by the medical establishment, which has resorted to taking shots in the dark at treating many diseases, based upon very loose correlations mistaken for causations. That said, if this procedure works, and can be proven to actually improve a patients condition, then that beats the hell out of costly pharmaceuticals.

      1. Going on our THIRD loved one with Alzheimer’s, and yes you are right. Many think that the plaques are a SYMPTOM, not a cause, and by removing them ( they might be the brain’s defense) it might make things worse. Many alternative folks call it Type 3 diabetes and think that it is the result of improper glucose metabolism ( the brain’s primary food). Not unlikely given how common Alzheimer’s is in type 2 diabetics. But going after diet and glucose goes after TRILLIONS in processed food profits, etc. LOTS of alternative therapies are out there, but ONLY THOSE THAT PROFIT bigPharma will ever be promoted or approved.

        1. My sympathies on your affected relatives. It’s a horrible disease. There is no history of it in my family, but I’m not sure that’s any consolation, since I’m increasingly of the thinking that it is triggered by an environmental factor, possibly – but not necessarily – in conjunction with a genetic predisposition. Which means those of us without a family history may still be at risk if it is due to diet, chemical contamination of water or air, or who knows what other triggers could be in play. We are so far from having any solid answers on what causes it, that we may as well know nothing.

  2. You have a family member/friend and want to give it a shot and feel nothing to lose/perhaps much to gain, these are on sale @ many sites:

I would suggest doing a deeper research on this study but beats doing nothing unless one has a better solution.

If anyone knows about this, please share with me. A few years back I read about “someone” who ordered the frequency of music to be altered, and decreed all music composed from then on to use this new baseline. Maybe even when playing/singing music that had been written earlier and not only new compositions. I think this was in the late 1800s or early 1900s. There was no reason given except that someone in power wanted it that way. I don’t know about sound frequencies and how music notes are impacted but I do know the frequencies were changed. Maybe denying the healing powers of frequencies is the reason. I lost everything (music, photos, documents and archives) when my prior computer flat-lined and I hadn’t made any backup files. A hard lesson learned. Don’t suggest using the “cloud” as I won’t go there. I’m using flash drives or thumb drives now.

    1. You’re probably thinking of A=440Hz. This is an international standard first adopted in 1939, and made official by ISO in 1955 as ISO 16:1975. Prior to this, the (Western standard) for tuning of instruments could vary widely; there were still 12 equally spaced semitones, but the reference point to which they were tied varied over time and location. It is still possible to find really old pipe organs in Europe tuned to a different standard, since they were built to be tuned at that specific reference pitch.

    2. Yes, it’s 432 Hz, whereas 440 Hz is now the standard. Look up 432 Hz… any music can be downshifted from 440 Hz to 432 Hz using Audacity (free), Reaper, Cubase, Adobe Audition, or whatever your favorite DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) is. Remember that not all music is tuned at 440 Hz, so you’ll want to check that before you do the downtune. The trick, with Audacity for instance, is to change the pitch without changing the speed… use the Pitch Shift effect and decouple it from the Time Shift.

For backups, use an external SSD hard drive. Just spend the money. Also, if you’re not using Linux, please consider switching… it is so infinitely superior to Windows they’re not even in the same reality. And it’s free.

Thanks to you and Big Ruckus D for your time and expertise. I can understand the need for an international standard pitch reference for those tuning instruments, etc. I just suspect there may have been more to it than unifying musical instruments. My reaction was concerning the effect this alteration from 432 Hz to 440 Hz may have had on the brain over time and the resulting dementia of so many. I agree there are many factors to consider and now that 6G is going to be so common in all our surroundings, I wonder what that may add to the impact of the current frequency of music.

  4. All I know is it is a terrible thing. My wife has a five-minute short-term memory. Nothing stays. I repeat over and over. It makes me sad. Dear Lord help me to be the man I am supposed to be.

  5. Dolphin, sorry to hear about your wifes condition,me mum had and died with Alzheimers, tis a very challenging road.

All I can say while you are being the man you are supposed to be(you are)get some help at times to take a break and recharge yourself.

I have learned a lot the past few years about alts for this and many other diseases, never hurts to try ones that seem to make sense.

May you and the misses have a good future!
