Those of us with even a shred of “attempted morality,” in a clearly immoral Nation, will ask the above question.
The Other Joe Blow
I honestly don’t know what it will take for folks to wake up from their slumber. I guess the electronic distractions of modern life have taken over. Nary a whimper from the Right except on obscure little websites, then it is just whimpers.
Dogs are great, but even a loyal dog that is truly hurting will snap at it’s owners.
Snotty Boy
When the bread and circuses stop that is when folks will wake up.
Problem is that the bread and circuses will probably never stop.
Sad….

It’s very difficult to consider the things you held as true for most of your life, and discover that there are questions about those truths, and a vast doubt is now cast over those truths, and now you have to reassess the things you based your life choices and judgements on….. How does someone of a certain age admit that they have been fooled for their entire adult lives?
None of this is new. The machinations have been decades in the building… it is only now that we can see them more clearly, and we do not know what to do with that clarity.
The system itself is corrupt, beckoning to the corruptible, attractive to the monsters, and impervious to the objections of those whose livelihoods sustain it.
Here in Canada, our system does not have a mechanism to address, for example, the vast and egregious conflicts of interest the PM is absolutely, demonstrably, guilty of. We can’t get rid of him, we can’t prosecute him, and he obviously won’t stop on his own; there is far too much money at stake.
All we can do, at this point, is watch and take many notes. Like the man said, ‘I care not for your boos, for I have seen what you cheer for’.
Where this goes is obvious. What is in doubt is the resolve of those still watching.
We all know what happens now.
Steady Steve
If, as has been said, Washington DC and Wall Street would collapse if the names in the Epstien Files are named and publicized then let them collapse. We do not need and should not tolerate a government or financial system that submits to such evil.
