We have zero money in our bank with exception of paying bills. Took our cash out of our bank over 8 years ago or longer.

Exactly.. at least the past 14 years I’ve been listening. On a long enough timeline, something will always happen.
I never leave more than I need to on deposit. Of course, I presume if the banks collapse, the fiat currency will somehow be proclaimed null and void after a brief period of exchange for new currency, which will be limited in the amount one will be allowed to exchange, thereby destroying the value of any fiat held above that arbitrary limit. Thus, PM’s or other commodities of value for trade will be ones primary means of protection against being financially wiped out.
I gotta plead the Matthew 24:38-39th. It’s rather clear to me at least that things will be relatively “normal” up until they ain’t and there will be nothing anyone can do. No amount of preparing will prepare you. While there, re-read all of the chapter. As always, YMMV.
