I believe Trump is waiting for an egregious act of violence against ICE to use the Insurrection Act to implement martial law. He will then have the support of the country who want “justice”.
Let’s be realistic: Congress and the Supreme Court are broken. The only way to restore the Republic is to disband Congress and hold new secure elections. The Justices on the Supreme Court would be dismissed and new Justices appointed and approved when the new Congress is seated.
Trump is no fool: he knows what must be done to save the country. He is setting up the chessboard for enemies both foreign and domestic.

Start with the complete extermination of Somali’s and their supporters and rip up every single building and/or organization that is giving any kind of aid to them. Make the skinny sons of bi*ches beg and plead to go back to africa.

The insurrection act is essential for the Dem’s to point and say ‘look, Hitler’, and get their side all-in on open conflict.
And? Large scale violence and war are clearly inevitable now, so who cares if invoking the insurrection act is the trigger point? Something has to kick it off, and we need to stop being fearful of taking action because the left will try to use it to their advantage.
Of course they will, they are lying scum. How much more slack do we give them before a clamp down? Or do we simply never do anything to stop them out of concern that it backfires? That’s a great plan.
Committing and following through is crucial, no matter the optics. Once begun; second guessing, hesitation, softness will only embolden the bolshevik baddies. Agreed. Once the act is invoked, asses need to be kicked mercilessly, with no consideration given for the outcry of public disapproval that will ensue. Capitulating to that sort of pressure guarantees a total loss. And I don’t believe going hard on domestic enemies saves the country, either. That’s a non-starter, so people need to let it go.
At best, it destroys enough of the left that we have some kind of chance of setting up shop anew, likely with a redefined territory that doesn’t have the entire existing USA land mass under one government control (and that isn’t necessarily a bad thing).
