  1. It depends on who is choosing. I can see a large portion of people going towards an Amish type of lifestyle. And who gets to decide the parameters that AI functions under? Would you want someone like Bill Gates making those decisions?

What a beautiful world…. where countless millions will be made obsolete and out of work, starving and living on the edges of a society that shuns and mocks them. How wonderful!

  3. What a load of bullshit, AI talking its own book. Of course it will sugar coat it’s promises.

40 years ago in the 1980’s we were promised a pretty fantastical future (largely due to new and direction tech) with major diseases cured, flying cars, and a world largely free of suffering and want. Yet look at here we are today, in reality.

Does anyone here really believe these ridiculous prognostications will prove up any better than those of 4 decades ago? I most assuredly don’t, because society has devolved badly since then, and thus lacks the competence and the motives to improve. The so called AI touting itself in this video is itself the creation of deeply flawed humans bereft of ethics, and will provide results that demonstrate “garbage in, garbage out” remains true even now. In all likelihood, we will be lucky to survive what is coming.
