Tesla Roadster

Imagine where we would be if evil was not in control in Western governments. Imagine if our prisons were not a “for profit” industry.

Imagine if our schools actually taught our children. Imagine if our borders were secure, our labor market used American workers and we were free.

Elon Musk has shown us the benefits of a meritocracy. This is how we make America great again. This is how we feel pride in our nation, our work and our culture. And the only thing stopping us is government.

  1. Flying cars provide real freedom. They will NEVER come to be SPECIFICALLY because of that. And BOTH major political parties will rise in opposition (likely each for a different reason).

    1. Agree. Not only that, but the potential pitfalls of flying cars being adopted on a large scale basis are so huge that I don’t see how it would ever be practical. Not without some sort of centralized control that kept flying car traffic from experiencing massive airborne collisions, and that is exactly what we don’t want, more centralized control and monitoring.

      Think of how badly people drive on roads. Now picture them piloting craft a couple of hundred feet above ground, crashing into each other, and falling down to earth right on top of your home or workplace. Private aircraft work now because the risk is adequately diffuse; they are very expensive, require off-site storage and special skills to use, and are thus inherently limited to how many can and will exist in a given area. Mass adoption of flying cars would be a horror beyond imagination.

      Consider too how we already have unresolved issues with drones invading the near airspace above private property, (violating not only privacy, but creating noise nuisances) and how much worse it would be if even 25% of present road traffic were in the sky instead.

      A suitably impressive demo from Tesla, but not something I expect will ever be more than a limited edition playtoy for the filthy rich. At least not in it’s presented form.

    Wait a minute. I thought we were in a fuel shortage. Doesn’t look like these operate on lithium batteries, which is also dangerous when they burn or explode. And what is the cost of auto insurance and registration and yearly license plates for something this new and expensive. Not to mention the tires that have to withstand the “landing” and exhaust. No. Guess these are only for the wealthy who aren’t concerned with the fuel their jets consume or their heavy bullet-proof vehicles wearing out our roads. Just another look-at-me toy.

    Jane his wife,
    his boy Elroy and Judy;

  4. I look forward to the ghetto hijinks when DeTravius Washington gets one and runs from the cops in it…..the carnage will be spectacular.

  5. Neat engineering trick. Not particularly useful in the real world. Tesla needs to concentrate more on range, battery life and speed of recharge rather than cool but relatively useless tricks.
