Such an event would shutdown the credit system that allows gas stations, grocery stores and so on to get resupplied let alone sell their stuff.
Trucks stop running. Lots of bad things happen.
So, yeah even broke people with nothing in the bank will notice the banking system failure.

Who said I was broke? Wealth, and one could argue, true wealth can and should be held outside their system.

I don’t think Michael directed his comment to you. Many people are now broke due to inflation and other government malfaisance.

You said bank accounts going to zero wouldn’t affect folks with nothing in their bank account.
I pointed out how bank failures and thus credit failures would affect everyone.
And Yes, if you have read my many comments about growing your own food and energy and developing trusted friends business there is indeed wealth beyond the bank.
