Nope. He was bombastic, bellicose and belligerent before. Now he’s just nucking futs.

The tone and quality of his discourse has shifted noticeably since the start of his second term. Now, maybe it’s just the enormous pressure of being trapped like a rat in a cage by his own policy screw ups, that has him acting this way.
Or, given his age, maybe he really is losing it. These rambling screeds, like the above, are presumably written by him, and not by some flunkie assistant posting on his behalf. The style is just too distinct, and it tracks the verbal diarrhea that he tends to spew when speaking off the cuff now.
Trump is not sane. He definitely is not a good politician and at this time he is not a good leader. Trump has become selfish in a very bad way.
Trump’s remarks have the flavor of his–fully attributable–prior verbiage on his website and at his rallies.
That he stoops so low by name-calling (not a new thing for he) diminishes he and not the target(s) of his diatribes.
The POTUS should have the pride & decency to remain above the fray of a fifth-grade name-calling contest. At minimum he could make the smart move by using his VP for his sarcasm, punishing those whom he wishes to diminish while giving him plausible deniability.
The proof of his inadequacy is in these near daily rants against any and all who refuse to kiss the ring; he has become an embarrassment and is the source of my (current) greatest disappointment:
Just as DJT has managed to squander the treasure of our Nation, so he has forever harmed the reputation of our government to deal fairly at future (not as yet bombed) negotiating tables; he’s busy awarding medals to lifeguards who show great bravery and sense of duty (and rightly so) while callously disregarding 175 foreign girls’ deaths, blaming those deaths as perhaps ordered by his adversaries.
The Trump Resurgence of our Nation has been negated by all of the above–“and so much more.”
I could weep in frustration to see what we legacy Americans have lost, while I swallow once more my daily “Black Pill,” because there is no credible return to normalcy for us, for we who have to pay for this morally repugnant clown show.
The general “flavor” of his remarks has remained pretty consistent over the last several years. He has long had a tendency to make juvenile and otherwise low brow, uncouth remarks. The difference now is that the tone has become perceptibly more mean-spirited and unhinged. He has also taken to making outright self-evidently false remarks about the state of the Iran situation, and the economy, among other things. Sure, politicians lie their asses off, but lately this feels more like he’s high on his own supply.
As I said above, I can’t necessarily pin this down to one particular cause. It may well be that he is suffering dementia, we saw a somewhat similar effect on Joey shit pants as his condition worsened. That said, I wouldn’t discount the possibility that his recent outbursts have been more the result of anger and frustration at the fact things are not going well for him. It may well be a combination of both, for that matter.
I voted for him. He said all the right things. And I believe that he attempted to fill most of his promises in his first term.
He has either become a very different man, become controlled, or apparently is losing touch with reality and the people he’s supposed to be serving.
Although he’s done a few things that I believe are beneficial for our country. He is not the man he once was (or portrayed himself to be.)
What a disappointment.
Trump’s dementia is on full display in this post. His pettiness is ridiculous. It makes him sound almost insane. And I don’t know why he continues to invoke Allah. This isn’t the first time he has praised Allah. I voted 3 times for Trump. Never again. In fact, I will not vote for any politician that is pro-Trump. I am not voting for anyone in the Uni Party. They have done nothing for us. In my local town, we have 4 people running for Chief of Police. Only one is a No-Party candidate. I will vote for him. He also has great qualifications that he will bring to our city police. The others also have great qualifications, but they are all Republicans. I am done with the Republicans and Democrats.
If he is sane, he is the classic definition of malignant narcissism. But after listening to his embarrassing and disjointed ramblings at the Charlie Kirk funeral, I believe he has dementia. I have had to deal with several individuals right in my own family circle who exhibited the same behaviors and symptoms. I think he will become completely unhinged after the midterms, when the Dead Elephant Party gets their comeuppance for their betrayal of their base and other Americans over their refusal to implement the SAVE Act. We live in interesting times, and no one is coming to save us. Bleib ubrig.

I voted for Trump but I can see now it was pointless. I think he has already handed the midterms to the democrats and the country will finish going down the toilet soon after.
The “praise allah” statement was in reference to the radical democrats association with the islamic radicals. Stated in true Trump fashion. Trumpisms. To be taken with a grain of salt.
I agree. I’m not sure why anyone is surprised at this comment. It’s President Trump’s way of illustrating absurdity by being absurd, in true Rush Limbaugh fashion. Why do people continue to take him literally?

I’ve taken that into account, and in the past (his first term, and the run up to his second term) I could’ve seen that as a plausible explanation. I used to be a bit entertained, even, by some of his outbursts. But the outrageous and stupid stuff he has been saying lately “feels” distinctly different somehow, as though something fundamental has changed. And not in a good way, either.
Yes–Trump has gone over deep end. And this one message is proof of that. I can tell it was typed out by his 34 year old, chickey, blond, sycophant, so-called ‘assistant’ who follows him about like a love-sick Chihuahua 24/7. It seems that after the sun goes down, there is no filter in the man anymore–and this blonde is literally typing out his tweets like Joseph Goebel’s gleefully taking dictation… winking at Trump with a ‘this’ll get ’em’ kind of expression as she hits’ enter.’ I remember back in the day when he was initially running–he did let a speech writer concoct a rather meaty, speech or two in the vein of a true state’s man. But not anymore. It’s whatever comes off the top of his head at any particular moment–and unlike, Ronald Regan who could shoot from the hip eloquently, Trump has no such skills as Regan possessed. If this stuff is truly coming out of this guy’s brain early in the AM–we are truly hosed.
The contrast between Reagan and Trump is remarkable. Even now, I’ll occasionally catch a clip of Reagan speaking, and even if he is visibly using a prompter, he still frequently managed to add some spice by going off script. He undoubtedly had excellent speechwriters, which Trump clearly lacks. And the fact is, Reagan (undoubtedly owing to his experience as an actor) was an excellent speaker and authoritative speaker. Trump comes off like a goomba.
Trumps delivery has always been odd, the often strange choice of simplistic vocabulary, and constant “yell like” intonation is not at all becoming of a high level statesman. I was willing to overlook that to a point, back when I was still able to almost convince myself he was being genuine (in his first campaign). After his first term, I couldn’t do it anymore. His failures were so massive, and many of those were unforgivably stupid, that I could not longer believe he was serious about anything he promised.
As things stand now, I only feel further vindicated in my assessment of him. Some of his recent remarks (the quip about paying a “bit more” for gas and diesel particularly, when they’ve more than doubled) are so tone deaf and insulting to his (now largely former) base, that it defies any logical explanation for why he’d say such a thing. He may as well just come right and and say “you can all piss off, and quit your bitching, because I don’t give a rat’s ass what you all want”. That is the essence of what his posture towards those questioning what he is doing has morphed into. Clearly, Will Rogers never met him.
All I know I s that I’ve never seen a guy go so quickly from being widely worshipped by masses attending rallies, and electing him in unprecedented voting turnout, to blowing off massive tranches of his base to a point where he has decided to actively alienate huge numbers of his former supporters, and focus solely on pandering to one narrow subsection of so called “conservatism”. The honeymoon period after his second inauguration seems to me to be the shortest of any president in my lifetime so far. And he just keeps doing and saying things that make it worse.
Since the pressure bearing down on him (just from an increasingly poor economy) is set to get much worse, and I have no way of knowing what other angles he’s being pressed from behind the scenes (though I can certainly speculate on those, heh) I expect his conduct and public image to further deteriorate over the next several months. This should be a hell of a show, not that I ever wanted a front row seat for it.
