Cheap labor? I don’t think so. I live very near Chicago. The suburb next to me is Berwyn, Il. It is 90% hispanic immigrant. It has the highest population density in Illinois. Cicero is next door. It is also at least 90% hispanic. It is the second highest population density in Illinois. Chicago is number three. How is this possible? The migrants double and triple up into single family homes. In apartments same thing. We had to build the largest junior high school in the state for them. They had overwhelmed the school system. Same thing for emergency services and hospitals. Real Estate taxes went through the roof to pay for this. Car insurance went through the roof also. Parking and traffic suck. There’s much more, but too much to list.
