  1. The one difference between Bitcoin and the tulip mania that seized the minds of the Dutch in the 1600’s is, when the dust settled after the collapse of the tulip market, the investors had tulip bulbs. With Bitcoin and all digital currencies, the investors will have nothing.

    1. Yes. You can always plant a tulip bulb and get a beautiful flower, generally year after year for many years.

      1. Cryptocurrency will end up being the equivalent of planting expensive designer tulip bulbs, only to have the dug up and eaten by rabbits before they ever get a chance to bloom. It appears the one constant in American existence now is that you cannot plan for the future, or save anything substantive, as the system will find a way to screw you out of it, come hell or high water.

  3. It’s funny how many people I will mention that analogy to who will not even know what I’m talking about?
If you’re looking to buy, wait until $75k.

  4. The people who really made out on BTC would be the early adopters. Like the guy that accepted 10,000 Bitcoin for a pizza. Hopefully he kept it in cold storage and could have cashed it out in pieces for real property. Even at $10,000 per coin that would have had a value of 100 million. Enough to sell the pizza joint and retire comfortably. Now these various cryptos are just speculative electronic blips for wealthy people to play with. Just one EMP or major solar flare away from non-existance.
