How are supposed to know if our government is shut down. They lie more than satan himself so anything they say is most likely another lie.

Ninety percent of FedGov “workers” have meaningless (and inexplicable) titles, push inconsequential paper, collect their pay and benefits and look with contempt at we taxpayers who are forced to fund the entire shytshow.
and that’s why I quit working directly for a mfg. plant that is unionized. Shop Stewards cold care less about creating a safe, financially stable business that employed their people. Stewards only cared about arguing over the contract, protecting individuals that were habitually missing work, getting injured, or have some type of emotional melt down. To be fair, the senior leaders of the company weren’t much better.
