I’m a classic migraine sufferer. For many years, my first instinct was to reach for pharmaceutical medication. That was the obvious thing to do, because migraines can rob you of your entire day and make every little thing a burden.

However, some time ago I came across an interesting approach: a large glass of water with a heaping pinch of Himalayan salt. To be honest, I was skeptical at first.

Nevertheless, I tried it – and was surprised. In my case, it actually helped. What particularly astonished me was that after taking medication, I often felt a slight pressure in my head that sometimes lingered for several days. With the salt water, this feeling disappeared much faster.

Of course, I can only speak from my own experience, and what helps one person won’t necessarily work for everyone. Migraines are a complex issue with many contributing factors.

Nevertheless, this experience reminded me that not every answer has to come from the pharmacy. Sometimes the simplest things are closer than we think. Water and salt are among humankind’s oldest companions. Our ancestors already knew their value—not as miracle cures, but as fundamental elements of life.

In Norse-Germanic tradition, we repeatedly encounter the idea that the forces of nature are more than mere resources. Springs, rivers, and the sea were considered places of special power. Water symbolized life, renewal, and healing. Salt, in turn, was so valuable for centuries that in some places it almost held the status of currency.

Perhaps therein lies a small reminder for our modern times: Not everything that helps has to be complicated. Sometimes, a path that works for you can be found somewhere between high-tech medicine and ancient wisdom.

Sometimes we look for solutions in the most complicated ways and overlook what has been right in front of us for centuries. Our ancestors trusted the forces of nature not out of superstition, but out of experience. Water, salt, herbs, and observing their own bodies were part of everyday life for a long time.

For me, this simple glass of water with a pinch of salt was worth more than many a pill. I can’t say whether it helps everyone. But it showed me that the simplest ways can sometimes be the most effective.

As the old Norsemen said: Not all strength comes from the sword—some springs from the source.

While the commenting policy is short and has not changed much in sixteen years, people still have an issue with moderation of their comments. Very few comments are actually deleted because bots and agent provocateurs have already been banned.

Recently, people have been abusing their privilege of commenting on this site. Why do I use the wood “privilege”? Because this is my house and my rules apply. My time and money allow me to “keep” my house in order.

Readers know I literally hate the success of the government and zealots to divide us. The above comment was directed at illegal aliens. The solutions to this issue are simple and should not only continue but be increased. Yes, I understand that white culture is under attack and is losing. Is the above comment a solution? If you do not agree with this solution, then you too will be killed?

Using the term “niggers” has become another latest pushback. I know that I post many articles and videos that outline black violence. Four points:

1. Black violence is out of control.
2. They are not held accountable for their actions in a two-tiered injustice system.
3. No solutions to solve the problem will ever be implemented because the government wants this issue.
4. The black community does nothing to solve this issue.

So what to do concerning racism since it is not going away and the white culture is losing this war? Especially since many of the comments are made by trolls or people trying to marginalize this site.

While I consider my options to keep my house clean, I will point out some of my personal guidelines:

1. If a comment states that I will not post the comment because I am scared, I will delete it.
2. If a comment dares me to post a comment that they know violates the above policy, I will assume they are a troll and delete it.
3. If the comment is an attempt to troll, I will delete it.
4. If the comment is an attempt to commit violence or killing people, I will delete it.

I could say that I want nothing to do with Muslims, blacks or gender fanatics pushing their agendas. Or you can look at it this way: I want nothing to do with any group pushing an agenda that is destructive to our culture, religion and morality.

What I know is our Lord created all people. I know that mankind has diminished the sanctity of human life. This ensures war will continue unabated at a scale which should never be considered. I will not throw the first stone but I also understand operational security, vigilance and the value our Lord puts on His flock.

And yes, this commenter has been banned.
