  1. Theres speculation by some science types that pre-humans started consuming mushrooms and it aided their evolution (beyond just the additional food source). Its a fascinating world. The biology is different than ours. Its a whole ‘nother branch on the tree of life (plant, animal, fungi)

  2. Guess I’m lucky I’m not colorblind, I hate mushrooms. I find both the flavor and consistency disgusting. I suppose I could force myself to ingest a few if there was a legit medical benefit to doing so. I never thought I’d take a more favorable view of marijuana either, and while I’ve not used it to date, I can now foresee future circumstances where I might (i.e. for chronic pain) because of how much of a scam and a detriment the pharmaceutical industry has become. I’m not yet to the point of fully embracing homeopathic medicine, but I’ll certainly consider it on a case by case basis.

  3. It is no coincidence that we co-exist on the planet with these substances. Our brains have both opiod and cannabinoid receptors, and psychedelic compounds found in cactus, cannabis, mushrooms, ayahuasca and others have been extensively used as part of sacred religious ceremonies for thousands of years. We are BLESSED to have these plants/fungi at our disposal.
