I see no qualifications based on whether we are able to judge whether others have a soul. I do not see anywhere in the Bible where we are to determine if other people have souls.
I do believe some people have lost their souls and are possessed by demons but that is not the point. In the future, we will have to protect our communities from enemies both foreign and domestic. Foreign being defined as outside of our community. God did not judge Israel’s enemies by whether they had souls; His wrath was outlined in the Old Testament for your consideration.

As far as Forgiveness as described in Matthew 18, I fail to see how that refers to the question if Humans have souls.
In Christianity, the soul is considered the immortal essence of a person, created by God and distinct from the body. Scripture states, “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Genesis 2:7)
I could flood this page with the many scriptures that clearly indicate God made Humans WITH SOULS and it’s important as indicated by:
Matthew 10:28 (also found in Luke 12:4–5), which says:
“Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” Bible Hub+1

My comment was not directed to you. Are you saying that Jesus was teaching us to forgive creatures besides “brothers and sisters”? I was thinking that sapient beings have souls which are brothers and sisters. Jesus did not make distinctions between living humans as to who had a soul.
