  1. Maybe.
Maybe AI Bots will surpass the skill levels even good-great surgeons.

But, as a surgeon I realize, every day, that my greatest skill is my judgment.

Judgment to know if I should be operating at all, that the planned surgery is the best possible option for this problem, that the risk-benefit ratio clearly favors doing it.

Hope that there will be no voltage fluctuations affecting sensitive electronics at a critical moment……

    1. I am sure that Musk will be considering that issue with his tesla battery systems.

  2. Maybe eventually. But not for a while. AI gets even the most basic things wrong on a regular basis. Nobody in their right mind would trust their life to a robot surgeon that isn’t controlled by a real, experienced surgeon. I sure as hell wouldn’t. And I know and work with real surgeons.

  3. What we need are great doctors, not millions of surgeons. We need folks who care about restoring health, not just handing out pills.. But even the robot doctors will be trained by bigPharma just like the current worthless doctors. So long as the current criminals control medicine, NOTHING will truly fix our medical problems.

    1. Rule 2,956 – Don’t get sick and don’t get hurt.

  4. I’m okay with this. I would take an optimus robot over an Indian surgeon 100% of the time.
